JXL082 is an experimental small-molecule mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC) inhibitor investigated in preclinical research as a potential topical hair-growth agent. In published laboratory studies, compounds from this series were designed to alter mitochondrial pyruvate metabolism in hair-follicle stem cells, with the goal of promoting activation of dormant follicles and supporting hair regeneration pathways. Current evidence is limited to research and early preclinical development, and JXL082 is not an approved medicine for human use.
