Diethylene glycol
Diethylene glycol is an organic solvent with excellent anti-freeze properties. As a result, it is used as an ingredient in operating fluids. It is used in brake and hydraulic fluids and is used in the production of polyester resins in industrial production. It is a good solvent for water-insoluble chemicals. Diethylene glycol is used in the production of non-ionic surfactants. Glycol is used as an ingredient in adhesives, sealants and lubricants in industry. It is an ingredient in leather tanning and dyeing and impregnation products. In consumer products, it is used in biocides, repellents and washing and cleaning products. Diethylene glycol is used in coatings, paints and paint removers. Diethylene glycol is an ingredient in wallpaper peelers. It is a component of fuel heating and cooling formulations.
