Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow liquid with a characteristic balsamic odor
Balsamic turpentine is a volatile terpene-rich liquid derived from conifer resin. It is used in industrial, laboratory and chemical applications, mainly as a solvent, raw material and component of technical formulations.
Applications
- Chemical industry: Used as a solvent in varnishes, paints, waxes and resins.
- Organic synthesis: May be used as a raw material for selected aromatic compounds and fine chemicals.
- Technical uses: Employed in degreasing, cleaning products and as a carrier solvent in manufacturing.
- Industrial formulations: Used in selected adhesives, repellents, rubber processing and related technical applications.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor if you feel unwell.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor. Rinse mouth with water.
Handling and Storage
Store locked up in a tightly sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and incompatible materials. Avoid breathing vapors and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use suitable protective equipment. Keep away from ignition sources and prevent release to the environment.
