Thymol is a natural monoterpenoid phenol found in thyme oil and other essential oils. It is widely used in the chemical and cosmetic industries, especially in oral hygiene products (such as mouthwashes and toothpastes), antiseptic formulations, and perfumery. Due to its antimicrobial, antifungal, and aromatic properties, thymol plays a role as a functional additive in cleaning agents, deodorants, and some topical solutions.
