Dimethylamine is a simple organic compound belonging to the group of amines. The 40% aqueous solution is widely used in chemical synthesis, particularly in the production of industrial chemicals and agricultural products. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a strong, ammonia-like odor, soluble in water, and highly reactive.
Applications
Chemical Industry: Dimethylamine is used as a reagent and intermediate in the production of chemicals such as quaternary ammonium compounds, herbicides, and surfactants.
Agriculture: It acts as a precursor in the production of pesticides and herbicides.
