Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a colorless, odorless, hygroscopic liquid that is highly polar and miscible with both water and a wide range of organic solvents. DMSO is widely used as a solvent in chemical synthesis, analytical chemistry, and industrial processes.
