First Aid Measures
General Instructions: Ensure your own safety. If any health issues occur or in case of doubt, contact a doctor and provide them with information from this safety data sheet. In case of unconsciousness, place the person in a stable side position with a slightly tilted head and ensure the airways are clear. Never induce vomiting. If the person vomits, ensure they do not choke on the vomit. In life-threatening situations, perform resuscitation and seek immediate medical attention. For respiratory failure, immediately perform artificial respiration. For cardiac arrest, begin chest compressions without delay.
If inhaled:
Immediately remove the affected person to fresh air. Do not allow them to walk. Be cautious of contaminated clothing. If necessary, call for an ambulance and provide medical care, as observation may be required for at least 24 hours.
If on skin:
Remove contaminated clothing. Before washing, or while washing, remove rings, watches, and bracelets if located where the substance has contacted the body. Rinse the affected area with lukewarm water for 10-30 minutes (if possible). Do not use soap, brushes, or neutralizing agents. If needed, call an ambulance and ensure medical care.
If in eyes:
Immediately rinse the eyes with water, pulling open the eyelids (forcefully if necessary). If the person wears contact lenses, remove them immediately. Continue rinsing for 10-30 minutes from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner to prevent contamination of the other eye. Depending on the situation, call an ambulance or provide the fastest medical care. A doctor should examine anyone exposed, even in cases of minor contamination.
If swallowed:
Immediately rinse the mouth with water and give 200-500 mL of cool water to help neutralize the thermal effect of the corrosive substance. Do not give excessive amounts of liquid, as it could cause vomiting and potential inhalation of the corrosive substance into the lungs. Do not force the person to drink, especially if they feel pain in the mouth or throat. In such cases, only allow the person to rinse their mouth with water. DO NOT administer activated charcoal. Depending on the situation, call for an ambulance or provide the fastest medical care.
